Rowena Laura Armke Voges, born December 1, 1918, died January 8, 2010.
Rowena was preceded in death by her husband, Wilbert Voges.
She is survived by her brother, Freddy Armke of Hye, TX, her children,
Jeanette Heimer, of El Paso, TX, and Erich Voges, of Leander, TX, as
well as 6 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
Rowena and her late husband, Wilbert, raised their family in
San
Antonio, TX
. There they were active members of
Highland Park
Lutheran
Church
until their retirement. They then spent their retirement years
in
Blanco, TX
and were active at
Trinity
Lutheran
Church
. For the
past four years Rowena has lived with her daughter and son-in-law, the
Rev. Dr. Karl and Jeanette Heimer and participated in
San Pablo
Lutheran
Church
and Ysleta Lutheran Mission Human Care.
Visitation will be held Thursday, January 14, 5-8pm at Crofts Funeral
Home, Blanco.
Funeral will be held Friday, January 15, 2pm, at
Trinity
Lutheran
Church
, Blanco.
The Voges family asks that memorials be made to Ysleta Lutheran
Mission Human Care.
